Is that an iPhone (with lens) in your pocket…
Who needs a better iPhone camera when you have companies developing magnetic add-on lenses that bring wide-angle, telephoto, and fish-eye capabilities to everyone’s favorite smartphone? Now if only Canon would release a bad-ass L lens for the wonderphone. An X-ray vision lens wouldn’t be bad, either. [Gizmodo]
Study: Female MMO Gamers Five Times More Likely to be Bisexual
Source: MaximumPC. If you’re a male gamer who has been looking for love in all the wrong places, it might be because you’re spending too much time playing MMOs. Or, depending on your fantasy woman, maybe that’s exactly what you should be doing. You see, not only is nearly half of the Everquest II gaming population female, but they’re apparently much more likely to be bisexual than non-EQ II players, online surveys suggest.
According to no less than 2,400 completed web-based surveys, females account for 40 percent of the EQ II gaming community. The surveys also found that female EQ II players display “an unusually high level of bisexuality,” more than five times that of the “general population.”
“These are not people who are following strict gender stereotypes,” said lead researcher Scott Caplan. “I think what you would find in this population are going to be people who are in other ways less traditional than the majority population.”
The respondents received an in-game item in exchange for completing a web-based questionnaire about their gaming habits and lifestyles, which has led some to question to the validity of the results.

my only comment… are lesbians drawn to WoW or does WoW create them because they see how annoying the guys are?

Chinese girl has basketball for legs
Qian Hongyan is not your average little girl. When she was three years old, she was involved in a car accident that required both of her legs to be amputated. Her family couldn’t afford proper prosthetics for her, so they opted to use a basketball instead. Remarkably, she hasn’t let this get in the way of her dream of one day representing her country in the 2012 Paralympics… in swimming.
I believe in basketball the term for that is… oops, I already used that one. And now I just ruined the most heartwarming story you’ll probably read all day. [Sports Rubbish via Deadspin]
What else could go wrong?
Original Trip
Saturday
1. Boston to Montreal then Montreal to Vancouver
Total travel time: 10 hours
Actual Trip
Saturday
1. I’m waiting in line to check in for my 1:40pm flight, when I realize that I left my passport at home. Good job djpnotclutch.
2. Went back home to get my passport and luckily find out that my flight was delayed til 3pm. “I always get lucky when traveling,” I think to myself…always
3. Get to the airport in time, only to find out that my flight is now canceled. No more flights for the rest of the day.
Sunday
4. Wake up and get back to the airport at 4:30am to go on standby for the next available flight
5. The next available flight is canceled
6. I finally make it on a flight out to Montreal. Unfortunately, my luggage does not. Fortunately, the person sitting next to me is entertaining enough to make time fly by. Unfortunately, she talks and laughs so loud that other passengers complain.
7. Of course, all the time spent waiting/looking/filing claims for my bag causes me to miss my connecting flight to Vancouver. Next flight: 6 hours away.
8. Poutine break!!! Unfortunately I get kicked out of the bar playing the Patriots v Cards game because I brought in outside food. Fortunately, the girls in Montreal are perhaps the most beautiful in the world. Unfortunately they either do not understand my French or pretend not to understand…even though they all clearly speak English.
9. After a couple of delays, my flight to Vancouver finally takes off
10. Unfortunately, my seat is broken and will not recline
11. Unfortunately x2, my TV monitor is also broken
12. Fortunately, I am sitting besides a stereotypical Canuck wearing a lumberjack shirt that’s chugging two Molsons each hour
13. Just before getting to Vancouver, they decide to shut down the airport due to the snowstorm that followed me from Boston to Montreal to Vancouver. The pilot decides to land in Calgary.
Monday
14. I sit in the plane on the runway for a couple of hours staring at the beautiful and simultaneously non-existant Calgary skyline
15. We finally get in the air and make it to Vancouver at 4am as the last flight in before the airport once again shuts down. Of course, they make us sit on the runway for another hour and a half before letting us off.
16. My bag is still lost
Total travel time: 27 hours
